Pittsfield Construction Updates: April 20-24
PITTSFIELD, Mass. — The City of Pittsfield shares the following updates of ongoing construction projects:
West Street Improvement Project:
- Sidewalk work continues east of Dewey Avenue and along Jubilee Apartments. Temporary pavement will be removed for some driveways and prepared for final paving. During this work, lane closures will occur, at times, in various sections along West Street creating temporary detours on neighboring roads. Drivers are encouraged to seek alternate routes if possible.

April 23 & 24: Milling existing pavement in roadway from Backman Avenue to Government Drive/College Way.
Fenn Street Project:
- Eversource continues their underground utility work on Fenn Street between North Street and Allen Street. This work is expected to continue over the next several weeks. The westbound lane on Fenn Street between Allen Street and North Street remains closed.
Sidewalk Repairs:

Sidewalk replacement will occur at:
- Reid Middle School
- Grove Street between 74-76 Grove Street to repair the section that was removed for emergency sewer repair.
- Lexington Parkway and into Herberg Middle School. A flashing beacon will also be installed at this location.
- Replacement of panels lifted by tree roots near 65 Marlboro Avenue.
It is important to note that the schedule for each project is subject to change based upon weather conditions.
