Pittsfield Earns 1-0 Win at Agawam

AGAWAM, Mass. – Quinn Schaller scored midway through the second half Friday to give the Pittsfield boys soccer team a 1-0 win over Agawam.

Luis Chairez set up Schaller for the game-winner, and Reese Cook-Dubin earned the shutout win in goal with 10 saves.

“Huge victory for us, so proud of how the team fought all game long and came together to deliver a clean sheet,” Pittsfield coach Ryan Wanek said. “We started off the game really strong possession wise but was unable to really threaten their net. Second half, Agawam dominated us for the majority of the time but the boys held strong.”

Pittsfield (5-4-2) plays Taconic on Saturday night at Berkshire Community College.
