We spoke with Sean Taylor with Moresi Real Estate Partners who is listing the home.

What do you think makes this house stand out in the current market?

This house has been completely renovated with nothing left undone. From tin ceilings to hardwood floors throughout, heat pumps in most rooms, and Trex decking. The second floor has a redone laundry room with lots of closet space. The bathrooms have been updated as well as the kitchen, electrical. The home is just waiting for a new family to come and enjoy the heavy lifting that's already been done.

What would you say to a buyer trying to imagine their life in this space?

The house is conveniently located including schools, shopping, and cultural amenities all within walking distance. It is maintenance-free living with plenty of room for the family to gather or to have quiet time alone. 

What do you love most about this home? 

What I love most about the home is it's completely gone through, so other than perhaps changing the color palette everything has been completely updated and it flows with elegance.

Are there any standout design features or recent renovations?

The staircase is really elegant where you can imagine yourself up there for the perfect photo opportunity during prom, wedding, or even family photos.

How would you describe the feel or atmosphere of this home?

The home is warm and inviting for friends and family gatherings with plenty of room for entertaining. 

What is the neighborhood like?

The street is lined with trees with other large Victorian homes and memories of yesteryears abound and which you can enjoy from your front porch.

Adams Sets FY27 Tax Rates; Average Homeowner Bill Rises $130

ADAMS, Mass. — The owner of an average home in Adams can expect their property tax bill to increase by $130.51 this year, or about $65.26 per installment for the semi-annual schedule.
 
During Wednesday's meeting, the Select Board approved a 30 percent split shift for fiscal year 2027, which it has done for the last four years.
 
The commercial, industrial and personal property tax rate is $22.20 per $1,000, for a valuation of $940,00 that equates to a tax bill of $20,868, an increase of $648.60 from the prior year, said Town Assessor Paula Grover.
 
The residential tax rate is $16.08 per $1,000 of assessed value, an estimated annual tax bill of about $4,272. 
 
The average single-family home is valued at $265,700, an increase of $700 from the previous fiscal year. The increase is smaller than recent years, with valuation increases largely limited to homes that underwent renovations or other improvements.
 
The town saw substantial new growth this year, totaling $18,163,326, with the majority of that growth coming from personal property.
 
"A great new growth number for our town. So, that's great," Select Board Chair Jay Meczywor said.
