Post 125 Juniors Win at West Springfield

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. – Owen KoaMaya went 2-for-2 and scored twice Friday to lead the North Adams Post 125 Juniors to a 13-5 win in the first game of an American Legion Baseball double-header at West Springfield.
 
Lucas Hamilton also had a pair of hits in an eight-hit attack for North Adams.
 
Mason Fierro and Emery Rotter split time on the mound.
 
Fierro struck out three in 4 and a third innings to earn the win. Rotter struck out three in 2 and two-thirds innings of scoreless relief.
 
The Post 125 Juniors (8-2) are at Belchertown on Saturday.

North Shore Shuts Out SteepleCats

LYNN, Mass. -- John Hegarty gave up one hit in five innings of work on Saturday to led the North Shore Navigators to a 4-0 win over the North Adams SteepleCats in New England Collegiate Baseball League action.
 
Nklas Pavia went six innings on the mound for the SteepleCats, striking out six and allowing three runs.
 
Nelphie Lopez' double and Evan Meier's single accounted for North Adams' offense.
 
The SteepleCats (4-13) are home on Sunday for a double-header against Navigators (8-11) starting at 2 p.m.
