Post 125 Juniors Walk Off Win over Westfield

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- Carson Dix hit a one-out, two-run single in the bottom of the seventh Tuesday to lift the North Adams Post 125 Juniors to a 17-16 win over Westfield in American Legion Baseball at Joe Wolfe Field.
 
The hosts rallied for five runs to erase a 16-12 deficit and outslug Westfield Post 124.
 
Patrick Holland went 3-for-3 with a pair of doubles to lead a 13-hit attack for North Adams.
 
One of his doubles started the winning rally with one out in the seventh.
 
Maddox Cooke, Mason Fierro and Owen KoaMaya each had a pair of hits in the win.
 
Dix, Fierro and Lucas Hamilton split time on the mound.
 
North Adams (4-2) hosts East Longmeadow Post 293 for a double-header on Saturday.

North Shore Shuts Out SteepleCats

LYNN, Mass. -- John Hegarty gave up one hit in five innings of work on Saturday to led the North Shore Navigators to a 4-0 win over the North Adams SteepleCats in New England Collegiate Baseball League action.
 
Nklas Pavia went six innings on the mound for the SteepleCats, striking out six and allowing three runs.
 
Nelphie Lopez' double and Evan Meier's single accounted for North Adams' offense.
 
The SteepleCats (4-13) are home on Sunday for a double-header against Navigators (8-11) starting at 2 p.m.
