Post 125 Juniors Beat West Springfield

WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Michael Hartman went 2-for-3 with a double and a pair of RBIs Thursday to lead the North Adams Post 125 Juniors to an American Legion Baseball win over West Springfield.
 
Kieran Johnson went 3-for-5, and Mason Fierro and Emery Rotter each had a pair of hits in a 12-hit attack for Post 125.
 
Rotter earned the win on the mound with a complete-game effort, striking out two, walking one and allowing just one earned run.
 
The North Adams Post 125 Juniors (10-5) host Westfield Post 124 on Saturday at noon at Joe Wolfe Field.

North Shore Shuts Out SteepleCats

LYNN, Mass. -- John Hegarty gave up one hit in five innings of work on Saturday to led the North Shore Navigators to a 4-0 win over the North Adams SteepleCats in New England Collegiate Baseball League action.
 
Nklas Pavia went six innings on the mound for the SteepleCats, striking out six and allowing three runs.
 
Nelphie Lopez' double and Evan Meier's single accounted for North Adams' offense.
 
The SteepleCats (4-13) are home on Sunday for a double-header against Navigators (8-11) starting at 2 p.m.
