Truck Plows Through Marshall Street Storefronts in North Adams Crash

Staff Reports

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Emergency crews responded to a multi-agency call in downtown North Adams late Tuesday night after a pickup truck veered off the road and crashed into the Marshall Street storefront housing Brewster's and Tres Niños.

According to North Adams 911, at approximately 10:00 p.m., units from the North Adams Fire Department, North Adams Police Department, and Northern Berkshire EMS were dispatched to Marshall Street following reports of a vehicle colliding with a building.

Initial reports indicate the vehicle was traveling southbound on Marshall Street when the driver lost control. The truck left the roadway and slammed into the storefronts of both Brewster's and Tres Niños Taqueria.

Brewster's took the brunt of the damage. The truck drove completely through the front window and side entryway before coming to a stop at the Tres Niños entryway. A streetlight was also toppled in the crash.

First responders evaluated two occupants who were inside the vehicle at the time of the impact. One person sustained injuries and was transported to the emergency department for treatment. The second occupant reported no injuries.
