Hoosac Valley Rolls Past Pittsfield

PITTSFIELD, Mass. – Rachael Wnuk went 5-for-5 with a home run and six RBIs Monday to lead the Hoosac Valley softball team to a 17-6 win over Pittsfield.
 
Wnuk also doubled three times in a 20-hit Hoosac Valley attack.
 
Izabela Tart doubled and homered, driving in four runs in the win.
 
Genevieve Lagess went 3-for-5 and scored three runs.
 
Gracelyn Wright struck out four and allowed just two earned runs in a complete game in the circle.
 
Hoosac Valley took control with a six-run third inning to open an 8-3 lead.
 
Amelia Polidoro and Giannah Levardi each doubled and had a pair of hits for the Generals. Mia DeJesus went 2-for-4 and drove in three runs in the loss.
 
Ava McMahon and Polidoro split time in the circle for Pittsfield (0-10), which hosts Taconic on Saturday.
 
Hoosac Valley (2-0) is at Taconic on Thursday.
