CORTLAND, N.Y. -- Ryker Williams went 3-for-3 with four runs batted in Sunday to lead the Rip City 14-and-under travel baseball team to a 17-3 win over the DP Canes in the championship game of the Perfect Game tournament on Sunday.
Rip City went 1-1 in pool play on Saturday before winning the tournament semi-final, 9-0, over the Northeast Pride Prestige on Sunday behind a combined two-hitter from pitchers Andrew Scalise and Lador Lawson.
Roman Raifstanger went 2-for-3 with a triple and a double against Northeast.
"In the championship, our guys came out on fire and put up a quick nine runs in the top of the 1st and never looked back," Rip City coach Rick Paris said. "It was a great team effort. The hustle and effort was absolutely fun to watch. These boys are growing by leaps and bounds from where the were at in the summer."

Berkshire Force 16U Softball Hosts Tournament
PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- The Berkshire Force 16-and-under travel softball team this weekend went 3-2-1 at its Fall Frenzy tournament.
The Force beat the Miss Scotties of Ballston Spa, N.Y., twice, by scores of 7-1 and 6-1 and the Charlton (Mass.) Wildfire, 7-6.
It lost games to the Frozen Ropes Outlaws of Albany, N.Y., and the Capital Region Reign Empire out of Colonie, N.Y., and tied the Guilderland (N.Y.) Rogue, 4-4.
All games were played on Saturday at the Doyle Complex.
Against Charlton, Amelia Polidoro went 2-for-2 with a pair of doubles and two runs batted in, and Lexi Spratling singled and drove in a run.
Polidoro also earned the win in the circle, allowing just four earned runs.
Amaya Alger and Lillian MacDonald combined on a two-hitter against the Miss Scotties, striking out four between them. Alger, Polidoro, Alliah DiPietro and Jayda Klein each doubled in the 7-1 win.
