Wnuk Homers Twice in Hurricanes' Win

ADAMS, Mass. – Rachael Wnuk homered twice and drove in four runs Saturday to lead the Hoosac Valley softball team to a 10-3 win over Mount Greylock.

 

Genevieve Lagess went 2-for-3 with a homer and two RBIs. Isabela Tart was 3-for-3 with three runs batted in in an 11-hit Hoosac Valley attack.

 

Gracelyn Wright struck out three in a complete-game effort in the circle to earn the win.

 

Mount Greylock’s Kaleigh Jaros struck out a pair and allowed seven earned runs. Evy Clairmont hit a solo home run, and Lydia Gaudreau tripled for the Mounties.

 

Mount Greylock (1-5) goes to Wahconah on Tuesday.

 

Hoosac Valley (8-0) hosts Taconic on Tuesday.
