Lenox Rides Fast Start to Win over Mount Everett

LENOX, Mass. – Grace Julieano went 5-for-5 with a double, and the Lenox softball team scored 18 runs in the bottom of the first en route to a 26-1, season-opening win over Mount Everett on Monday.
 
Julieano drove in six runs and scored three in Lenox’s 23-hit attack.
 
Makiara Jackson finished the day 4-for-5 with a triple and four RBIs while crossing the plate four times
 
Lexi Witherell went 4-for-5 with four RBIs and five runs scored, and Cassidy Flynn was 3-for-4 with a double.
 
Evelyn Julieano got the start in the circle, striking out four in two innings before handing the ball to Flynn, who struck out five while allowing the Eagles’ only run in three innings.
 
Hailey Warren had the lone hit and scored the lone run for Mount Everett (0-1), which hosts Drury on Friday.
 
Lenox (1-0) is at Monument Mountain on Thursday.
