Chicopee Girls Lacrosse Tops Hoosac Valley

CHESHIRE, Mass. – Sophia Moreira scored seven goals and set up four more Thursday to lead the Chicopee girls lacrosse team to a 16-5 win over Hoosac Valley.

 

The Hurricane’s Jiya Borawski registered a hat trick and controlled a team-high four draws. She also tied with Layla Brooks for the team lead with seven ground balls recovered.

 

Brooks finished the game with a goal and an assist, and Kennedy Whitley scored a goal.

 

Hurricanes’ keeper Cameron Lovato made 16 saves.

 

Hoosac Valley (2-9) goes to Lee on Saturday.
