Anello's OT Goal Lifts Wahconah
DALTON, Mass. — Kesler Anello Wednesday scored with 29 seconds left in the first overtime to give the Wahconah boys lacrosse team a 6-5 win over Lenox.
Anello scored three goals to lead Wahconah’s offense. Gio Venable scored twice, and Richard Rando Jr. added a goal.
Noah Levante stopped 14 shots to earn the win between the pipes.
“I am so proud of how we gutted out that win,” Wahconah coach Matt Fisher said. “We have been on a slump, and a win makes you forget about that.
“The goal was to end the season 3-0, and just two more to go.”
Wahconah (7-8) finishes the regular season Friday home against Pittsfield and Saturday at South Hadley.
