Mounties Come Back to Beat Lee
WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – Cole Creighton went 2-for-3 with a double Monday to lead the Mount Greylock baseball team to a 13-7 win over Lee.
Creighton drove in three runs for the Mounties, who overcame a 6-0 deficit.
Emery Rotter and Eli Kristensen each had a pair of hits, including a double, and Andrew Holland doubled in an 11-hit attack for the Mounties.
Senior Jesse Thompson and Malcolm Leyda combined on the win on the mound on Thompson’s Senior Day.
Lee got a pair of hits apiece from Rydel Drenga and Owen Trombley.
Before the game, Mount Greylock honored longtime coach Steve Messina by dedicating the varsity field in his honor.
Mount Greylock (6-9) goes to Bennington, Vt., to play Mount Anthony on Thursday.
Lee (9-6) goes to Lenox on Wednesday.
