When we think of Wayne and all our fine adventures and visits, we think of this quote from Hunter S. Thompson and how it fits Wayne so well. "Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly worn out and loudly proclaiming "wow what a ride!" RIP our good friend. Sending love and prayers to your fine family.

We were heartbroken to hear the news of Wayne's passing and extend to you all our most sincere condolences. Wow what a fabulous picture you have used here, and I am sure that will be how Cliff remembers him. I heard many a story over the years of the wild and crazy days of racing, pitting for Cliff, and general motorcycle riding mayhem. I didn't know Wanye then I'm sorry to say, but his gentle heart always impressed me. We extend our love and will see you all soon. Cliff Godfrey, Ginni & Evan

There are not enough words to describe this sweet, gentle giant of a man. Hope there is plenty of Apple Pie in heaven.
from: Linda Perryon: 04-13-2026

Wayne was just a downright good guy. When we had a huge snowstorm in late April one year, I refused to shovel and of course I got stuck. I thought my only savior would be Wayne who did our plowing and in five minutes he arrived. I owe him a lot. When my son Jeffrey was oneof the gangsters in Kiss Me Kate, Wayne's one comment was, "Get a haircut;" I think that was because Jeffrey's hair was only an inch longer than Wayne's. Oh My Gosh we will miss him. There aren't enough words to say how much and there aren't enough prayers. Love to his family.
