PITTSFIELD, Mass. — The 59th Annual Hilda Vallin Feigenbaum Memorial Foundation Lecture will be held on Sunday, Aug. 23, at 7:30 p.m. at Temple Anshe Amunim, 26 Broad Street in Pittsfield.

This year's speaker is Maggie Haberman, White House Correspondent for The New York Times, who will be speaking on "The Current Political Landscape."

Due to high demand, registration for in-person attendance has been closed. Details to register to stream the lecture live are now available on the Temple website at www.ansheamunim.org.

According to a press release:

A Pulitzer Prize winning reporter, Haberman has worked for The New York Times since 2015 and previously reported for Politico, The New York Post, and The New York Daily News. Her first book "Confidence Man: The Making of Donald Trump and the Breaking of America," was an instant #1 New York Times best-seller. Haberman continues to report extensively on the Trump presidency and Washington politics for both print media and television. Haberman's most recent book, "Regime Change: Inside the Imperial Presidency of Donald Trump," co-authored with Jonathan Swan, was released in June 2026.

"We are delighted to welcome Maggie Haberman as this year's speaker," said Josh Cutler, Chair of the Feigenbaum Lecture Series. "Ms. Haberman is one of the nation's leading authorities on politics and has reported on the most influential moments in our nation's recent history. Her visit to our Temple is most timely considering the upcoming midterm elections which will help shape the domestic and foreign
policy development over the next two years and beyond."

"Ms. Haberman's visit also allows us to celebrate the civic and spiritual legacy of Hilda Vallin Feigenbaum, and honor the love and dedication of her sons, Dr. Armand Feigenbaum and Dr. Donald Feigenbaum (both of blessed memory), who established this lecture series in perpetuity as a living tribute to their mother's spirit," Cutler said.

Allendale Pines North Affordable Manufactured Homes Sell Fast

By Sabrina DammsiBerkshires Staff

Developer Teton Management cut the ribbon on the first six hopes in the manufactured housing community earlier this year.
PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Just a few months after Allendale Pines North cut the ribbon on its first six homes in the new manufactured home community, units in the planned development are selling fast with both first and second phases all but sold out.

For several years, Teton Management Corp. has been planning to expand its existing Allendale Pines Mobile Community with the development of 22 planned manufactured housing units. The new development has its own entrance at 395 Cheshire Road.

The need for attainable housing has never been higher, Teton President George Whaling said.

"And where we sought the opportunity to help with that demand is, we can get folks into a home at Allendale Pines North for essentially a couple of $100 less than what it would cost for someone to rent a three-bedroom of the same quality," he said.

The corporation took over Allendale Pines, now referred to as Allendale Pines South, about 6 1/2 years ago, Whaling said.

Since then, the corporation has invested $1,000,001 in infrastructure improvements, including replacing all water and sewer lines, paving the community and installing the infrastructure needed for 10 additional units, he said.

Additionally, it has been working to clean up and improve the community, which was lacking during previous ownership, said Jason Nocher, owner of Nocher Realty, which has been hired to help sell the units.
