PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Market 32 and Price Chopper initiated a checkout fundraising campaign on March 2 to benefit United Way chapters and their nonprofit partners.
Throughout the month of March, customers at the chain's 128 locations can round up their purchase totals to the nearest dollar. The proceeds are designated for community programs focused on food insecurity, housing stability, education access, childcare, and financial empowerment.
According to company officials, the funds raised during the campaign will remain within the local communities where they are collected. United Way utilizes these resources to support a network of vetted nonprofit agencies and to coordinate with community leaders on long-term solutions to regional challenges.
