Great Barrington Pulls Away Late for 12-Year-Old Little League Tourney Win

DALTON, Mass. – Tyler Warren hit a three-run triple to cap an 11-run bottom of the fourth Friday that ended the Great Barrington All-Stars’ 12-2 win over Lanesborough in the Don Gleason District 1 Little League Tournament.

Great Barrington rallied for the four-inning, run-rule win after Lanesborough scored twice in the top of the frame to grab a 2-1 lead.

But GB made the most of its three hits and made a winner on the mound of Warren, who struck out nine and walked one in four innings of work.

Great Barrington took a lead in the bottom of the second when Ezekiel McLaughlin singled to drive in Harlan Kohler with the game’s first run.

It stayed 1-0 until the fourth.

That is when Lanesborough’s Shaurya Patel homered to center field to drive in Allan Salguero, who was hit by a pitch.

But the bottom of the frame did not start out well for Lanesborough as Ivey Weller reached on an error, the first of a couple that helped fuel Great Barrington’s big inning.
