Taconic Tops Monument Mountain to Snap Streak

GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. – Abby Soto went 4-for-5 with a pair of triples Tuesday to lead the Taconic softball team to a 14-11 win over Monument Mountain.

 

Soto drove in three runs and scored five times as the Thunder ended a seven-game losing streak.

 

Toni Ahoussie went 4-for-5 with a double and two RBIs in a 21-hit Taconic attack.

 

Mollie Crawford went 3-for-4, and Gi’Annah Moses was 3-for-5 with three runs batted in.

 

Madison Barber earned the win in the circle with a complete-game effort.

 

For the Spartans, Addy Kramek went 3-for-4 with an RBI. Andrea Paul (2-for-3) and Hannah Boino each doubled.

 

Monument Mountain (4-9) is at Hoosac Valley on Friday.

 

Taconic (4-10) hosts Westfield on Thursday.
