Hornets Complete Sweep of Crosstown Rivals

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. – Danielle King went 2-for-3 with a double and three runs batted in Tuesday to lead the McCann Tech softball team to an 18-6 win over Drury.

 

Ryleight Rathbun tripled, and Avery Lane and Emma LeMire each doubled in an 11-hit attack for the Hornets, who also got two hits and four RBIs from Shaylee Lawson.

 

LeMire and Lane split time in the circle in the five-inning win, allowing two earned runs. LeMire struck out eight hitters in four innings of work.

 

Norah Wood led Drury’s offense, going 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI.

 

Drury (4-11) hosts Mohawk Trail on Friday.

 

McCann Tech (11-1) hosts Renaissance on Wednesday.
