Lenox Wins Pitchers Duel at McCann Tech

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. – Seamus Cooney and David Kirchner combined to strike out 10 and allow no earned runs Tuesday as the Lenox baseball team beat McCann Tech, 3-2.
 
Lenox rallied for three runs in the top of the fourth to take a two-run lead and held off the Hornets down the stretch.
 
Gavin Winger reached on an RBI bunt single to tie the game, and Logan Slater drove in a run with a single to center field in the winning rally.
 
For McCann Tech, Kale Kondel went 2-for-3 with an RBI, and Zach Howland doubled.
 
Hayden Barrett struck out 12 in a complete-game effort on the mound for the Hornets.
 
McCann Tech (5-8) is at Springfield Central on Wednesday.
 
Lenox (9-6) hosts Lee on Wednesday.
