Wahconah Wins at Southwick

SOUTHWICK, Mass. -- Sam McLaughlin went the distance on the mound, and James Rabuse hit a home run and a double Thursday in the Wahconah baseball team's 12-3 win over Southwick.
 
With the win, Wahconah officially punched its ticket for the Division 4 State Tournament.
 
McLaughlin struck out four and allowed two earned runs over seven innings.
 
Rabuse went 2-for-4 and drove in seven runs.
 
Luke Ferguson also had a strong day at the plate, going 3-for-5 with a double at the top of the Wahconah lineup.
 
McLaughlin helped his cause with a pair of hits and an RBI, and Daniel Hoffmann went 2-for-4 with two runs batted in.
 
Wahconah (10-3) is at Taconic on Saturday.
