Lenox Girls, Pittsfield Boys Earn Two Wins Apiece

GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. – Nora Schoeny and Mackenzie Valenzuela each won a pair of events Wednesday to lead the Lenox girls track and field team to a pair of dual meet wins over Monument Mountain and Pittsfield.

 

Shoeny won the mile and the 2-mile runs. Valenzuela took first in the shot put and the javelin.

 

Pittsfield’s Devin Wendling won the 100 dash and the long jump to lead the Generals to a win over Monument Mountain.

 

Emmanuel Anwomeah led the Pittsfield boys to wins over Lenox and Monument Mountain. Anwomeah hit the tape first in the 100 and 200.

 

The Spartans earned a win over Lenox behind Berdy Chermay’s sweep of the 110 and 400 hurdles. Monument Mountain’s boys also took two of the three relays, setting a school record in the 4-by-100.
