McCann Tech Hockey Falls in First Round

FRANKLIN, Mass. – Garrett Consigli scored in the third period to break a 5-5 tie and send the Medway hockey team on to a 7-5 win over McCann Tech in the first round of the Division 4 State Tournament on Wednesday night.
 
The Hornets fought back from a 5-1 second-period deficit to tie the game in the third.
 
But Consigli provided the game-winner, and Jason Drake scored his fourth of the game to put the Mustangs up by two with 4 minutes, 5 seconds left to play.
 
Dallas Ritcher scored four goals for McCann Tech, which got a goal from Hayden Bona and two assists from Everett Bayliss.
 
No. 14 Medway (8-11-2) moves on to face the winner of Thursday’s game between Old Rochester and Dover-Sherborn.
 
No. 19 McCann Tech ends its season with a record of 15-4 and a State Vocational Championship.
