Pope, Pittsfield Top Lenox

PITTSFIELD, Mass. – Madi Pope scored four goals Monday to lead the Pittsfield girls soccer team to a 6-1 win over Lenox.

 

Sophia Schnackenberg added the other two goals for the Generals, who built a 3-0 lead at half-time.

 

“We came out with a focused aggressiveness and continued to move the ball with purpose,” Pittsfield coach Molly West said. “We pressured all game. In addition, Madi Pope had a phenomenal game today; she was unstoppable on offense. She played fast and skilled.”

 

Ella Kroboth made four saves to earn the win in goal.

 

Jane Elliot converted a penalty kick for the Millionaires.

 

Lenox (4-4) hosts Easthampton on Wednesday.

 

Pittsfield (4-4) is at Wahconah on Thursday.
