Mount Greylock Girls Improve to 6-0

LENOX, Mass. – Tanley Drake had a hat trick Tuesday to lead the Mount Greylock girls soccer team to a 5-1 win over Lenox.

 

Drake scored, and Brie Bergeron found the net for the first time in her varsity career in the first half.

 

Drake added two more, and Adele Low added a goal after half-time. 

 

“Both sides played so hard and it was a great game, back and forth for the majority of it,” Lenox coach Nicole Gamberoni said. “The 5-1 loss for us, we are putting behind us and moving forward. We have another two big games this week and I couldn’t be more proud of the girls for keeping their heads up and playing until the final whistle.

 

“Greylock is a great team with great players! We went in with a game plan that wasn’t as successful as we would have hoped.”

 

Jane Elliot scored for the Millionaires in the closing minutes.

 

Noemi Evans made six saves to earn the win in goal for Mount Greylock.

 

Jocelyn Coco-Gilardi made eight stops for Lenox (2-3), which is at Holyoke on Wednesday.

 

Mount Greylock (6-0) hosts Wahconah on Friday.
