WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. —

Brian Thomas Hughes, 27, chose to be with GOD and find peace on October 1, 2025.

Thomas Hughes was born on February 10,1998 at 9:27am, at Newport Hospital in Rhode Island. He graduated from North Kingstown, RI High School in 2016 and continued his education, beginning at the University of Rhode Island and completing his bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with high honors at the University of North Carolina in 2022. He was employed as an electrical engineer at Siemens Technology, North Carolina for 5 years.

Brian's life was rich with meaning to all who knew him, filled with the kind of love that transcends time. His spirit was truly infectious, and his presence brightened any room he walked into, bringing joy to everyone around him. Naturally charismatic and full of boundless energy, Brian had a smile that lit up any room he entered.

Brian had a profound love for others and animals. Whether a Family member, Friend, Co-Worker or someone he newly met; Brian had a way of making everyone he met feel loved, valued, appreciated and seen. Brian was selfless and put others above himself.

In High School Brian worked at an Animal Shelter in North Kingstown, RI. He also very much loved all our family dogs growing up, his ferrets and his rescue dog Buster. Brian had a lifetime passion for Martial Arts; Ishin-Ryu Karate and Brazilian Jujutsu. He had trained in karate 3 times a week with his mother Deborah and his older brother Brett, from the ages of 3-9. Brian also continued training in Jujutsu as an adult, as his mother also did. Brian had a deep love of the ocean, visiting it often in RI & NC. Brian had a lifetime passion for geology and love of geodes in particular; since the first geode kit his mother bought him at age 10. He carried this passion and collection of geodes for the remainder of his life.

Growing up, Brian, like his brother Brett, helped his mother plant perennial flower gardens, wherever the family lived as being a son in a 20-year Military Family; leaving a legacy of floral beauty all over this world.

Brian was charismatic, quick-witted, intelligent and endlessly funny. He had a remarkable gift for making people laugh and making others feel welcomed and loved. His spirit will live on in every sunrise & sunset, every wind that blows, every moon, every star in the sky, every day & night sky, every cloud, every snowflake, every raindrop, every waterfall, every ocean and every bird, all-encompassing beautiful in this world,

Brian leaves behind his mother, Deborah Cadran, Brother Brett Hughes (Ashna), an Uncle ,Mark Cadran, Great Aunts, Great Uncles, Great Cousins, nieces and countless friends, co-workers, acquaintances and strangers, whose lives were made brighter because of knowing him. Brian’s Love, Spirit & Memories will forever live on in our Hearts & Minds.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, October 3rd at 9:00 AM in at St. Stanislaus Kotska Church 25 Hoosac St, Adams, MA 01220. Calling hour/Wake will be held in the PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St. Adams on Saturday morning from 7:30 AM until 8:30 AM, directly before the Mass.

Burial following funeral church mass at Eastlawn Cemetery, 605 Main Street, Williamstown, MA.

Celebration of Life Luncheon: following burial at 11:00 am at Zio Roberto Restaurant, 30 Marshall Street, North Adams, MA 01247
