CLARK ART - GLOBAL SLAVERY: A VISUAL HISTORY

Ana Lucia Araujo presents a visual history of global slavery and human trafficking across several centuries and continents. The lecture identifies common visual elements in artworks depicting these atrocities from antiquity to the plantation era. Accessible seating is available in the Manton Research Center auditorium.

The Glimmerglass Festival brings a satirical early-twentieth-century classic to the Manton Research Center auditorium. This gritty musical tale of gangsters and the Salvation Army features a famous score by Kurt Weill and Bertolt Brecht. Tickets start at $40 for this collaborative production with Opera Saratoga.
