Five Facing Drug and Firearm Charges After North Adams Drug Raid
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Five people face narcotics and weapons charges following a joint multi-agency raid at a Mohawk Forest apartment Wednesday, Aug. 19.
On Aug. 19, members of the North Adams Police Department, the Berkshire Law Enforcement Task Force, and the Berkshire County Special Response Team (SRT) executed a search warrant at 162 Mohawk Forest Blvd.
According to law enforcement, officers located Jaylen Graham, James Bennett, James Davis, Lindley Wright, and Scott Delmolino inside the apartment. Investigators reported evidence indicating the suspects attempted to flush a significant quantity of cocaine down a toilet as the tactical team made entry.
During the search, officers seized approximately 59 grams of cocaine, 1,650 bags of a heroin/fentanyl mixture (weighing roughly 33 grams), digital scales, distribution materials, and an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency.
Police also recovered three loaded firearms from the residence: a Smith & Wesson M&P .45-caliber handgun with a defaced serial number, a Smith & Wesson 9mm handgun, and an American Tactical AR-15 pistol (.556 caliber).
All five suspects were arraigned in Northern Berkshire District Court on Friday, Aug. 21.
Investigators noted that Graham, Bennett, and Davis were identified as violent offenders with prior firearm convictions.
James Davis, of Chicopee, was ordered held without bail following a dangerousness hearing. He faces charges including cocaine and heroin trafficking, conspiracy, destruction of evidence, and multiple firearms offenses, including a firearm violation with three prior violent or drug convictions.
Jaylen Graham, of Springfield, was held without bail pending a dangerousness hearing set for Aug. 28. He faces trafficking, conspiracy, destruction of evidence, and firearm charges, including a violation with a prior violent or drug conviction.
James Bennett, of Springfield, was also held without bail pending an Aug. 28 dangerousness hearing on identical charges to Graham.
Lindley Wright, of North Adams, was charged with cocaine trafficking, heroin trafficking, and conspiracy. Bail was set at $5,000 cash.
Scott Delmolino, of North Adams, was charged with cocaine trafficking and heroin trafficking. He was released on his own recognizance.
