ADAMS, Mass. — ZipStohr Comedy is back at the Adams Theater on Saturday, July 26 at 7:30 p.m. with a night of comedy featuring Tim Krompier and John Ziegler.

According to a press release:

Tim Krompier is a dynamic comedy veteran whose performances are both deeply personal and irresistibly entertaining. His style blends autobiographical storytelling with physically expressive character work, all delivered with a self-aware charm that reflects the wit of a seasoned performer and the mischief of a reformed partygoer. A regular in comedy clubs and theaters nationwide, Tim has earned a reputation as a loveable and charismatic headliner. He also maintains a strong presence in New York City and Long Island, where he performs weekly.

John Ziegler, born and raised in New York, John was the winner of the 2016 "Funniest Comic on the East Coast" Contest at Mohegan Sun.  John has opened for such comics as Sebastian Maniscalco, Gilbert Gottfried, Jim Breuer and Robert Klein. His first Comedy Special, "Getting My Affairs in Order" is available on Youtube. He currently headlines clubs across the country and regularly tours with legendary comedian Bobby Collins.

ZipStohr Comedy was originally created by Rick Stohr and David "Zip" Zerbato in 2005. Over the years, they brought many comedians to Pittsfield, including big names like Bill Burr, Michael Che, and John Mulaney. Zip passed away after a long battle with diabetes, and Rick has continued to book shows in honor of his dear friend. The Adams Theater is delighted to become a home for ZipStohr's programming.

Tickets are $22.99-$35 including fees. Note: Our comedy shows often contain adult themes. Audience discretion is advised.

Voters Pick Newcomers in Adams, Cheshire Elections

Staff Reports
ADAMS, Mass. — Voters picked newcomers over veteran members in select board races in both Adams and Cheshire on Monday.

Kelly Rice decisively beat three-term incumbent Christine Hoyt in Adams and Scott McWhirt led a successful write-in vote against formr Cheshire board member Mark Biagini, winning 190-162.

Rice is a newcomer to the Board of Selectmen but not to Town Hall. She was treasurer for 12 years before retiring as of Monday, and as an administrative assistant in town departments for 14 years previously.

'I'm excited. Can't wait. My first meeting will be Wednesday," she said after results were read at the Memorial Building.

When asked what she would like to see the board do, Rice said she wanted to get in first and see what happens. However, one thing she'd like to see is "reorganizing the board of how they pick chairman and vice chairman."

Hoyt was disappointed but sanguine about the results.

"It's the will of the voters, so I do respect that, and I wish Kelly well," she said. "I still love this town, Pete and I have lived here for 20 years. It is the place we chose to call home, and I'm always going to be rooting for it, so hoping that it's in good hands with the Board of Selectmen."
