Donna L. Murdock, 75

CHESHIRE, Mass. —

Mrs. Donna L. (Hayes) Murdock, 75, of Cheshire, died on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield.

She was born in Oceanside, NY on June 1, 1951, daughter of the late Joseph Hayes and Patricia (Fowler) Hayes Morgan. She attended schools in New York and graduated from the Smithtown Central High School.

Donna worked for many years as a paraprofessional for the Adams Cheshire Regional School District at the former CT Plunkett Elementary School and Hoosac Valley High School until retiring. Following her retirement she worked for Harry’s Auto in Cheshire.

Her husband, Clinton D. Murdock, whom she married on October 25, 1975, died on October 7, 2022.

She is survived by her son Clinton J. Murdock of Cheshire; her daughter Janine Murdock of Beverly, MA and by two grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her brother Joseph Hayes.

Per Donna’s wishes there are no funeral services.

The PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., Adams, is in charge of arrangements.

I had the great privilege to work with Donna when I began teaching students with special needs. She was kind and caring to all- and a great listener when you needed to vent. The students got firm but fair treatment and flourish under her care. I will miss our chats catching up at Harry’s. She deserves the halo she’s earned for sure.
