When the sun sets in early spring, woodcock love is in the air. Wet meadows and fields are transformed into a "runway" for their aerial courtship display. Listen and watch for the woodcock's performance on their breeding grounds. Suitable for families with children ages 6 to 18 and held at Mass Audubon's Canoe Meadows Wildlife Sanctuary, 309 Holmes Road.

Every spring, American woodcocks or "timberdoodles" turn the meadows of the Berkshires into a runway for their aerial dance. Learn about the lives of woodcocks with a family-friendly presentation from a Mass Audubon naturalist, then look and listen for them on the Glen Meadow Loop. Suitable for families with children ages 6 to 18 and held at the Greylock Glen Outdoor Center
