NORTH ADAMS COUNCIL ON AGING ELDER LAW PRESENTATION

Local seniors can learn about Elder Law issues at a free event hosted by the North Adams Council on Aging. The event is part of the statewide Elder Law Education Program presented by the Massachusetts Bar Association (MBA). It corresponds with the publication of the revised and expanded "2026 Elder Law Education Guide," the 17th edition of the resource guide, which is available at the Mary Spitzer Center and online at the MBA's companion website, www.massbar.org/elderlaw

2ND STREET: HOW TO SEAL, EXPUNGE A CRIMINAL RECORD
Pittsfield, 1 to 2:30 pm

2nd Street, together with Community Legal Aid, will hold a free clinic on how to seal or expunge a criminal record. The clinic will be held at the 2nd Street offices, located at 264 Second Street, Pittsfield. Private consultations will be available.

SPRINGSIDE GREENHOUSE GROUP ANNUAL PLANT SALE
Pittsfield, 9 to 4

Purchase home-grown annuals, perennials, hanging baskets, vegetables, tropicals, and container arrangements created and cared for by this community group. On Friday only, the Western Mass Master Gardeners Association will be offering soil testing with a suggested $2 donation. Bring about a half-cup of soil for the testing. There will also be a raffle and a second-hand garden supply & book sale available both days.

Springside Greenhouse is in the Herbert Arboretum and next to Springside House, 874 North St.

PITTSFIELD'S BLESSING OF THE FLEET
Pittsfield, 9 to 11 a.m.

Boaters are invited to bring their recreational and fishing watercraft, large and small, to Burbank Park's parking lot for a blessing by the Rev. Justin Griffing of St. Nicholas Orthodox Church. He will bless each and every vessel.

The Blessing of the Fleet is a Christian tradition that is practiced to ensure a safe and bountiful season and also protection of the ship and its crew. The ceremony also will offer the opportunity to remember those men and women who have died on water and pray for them.

The event is open to residents of the following 17 towns: Alford, Becket, Egremont, Great Barrington, Lee, Lenox, Monterey, Mt. Washington, New Marlborough, Otis, Richmond, Sandisfield, Sheffield, Stockbridge, Tyringham, Washington, and West Stockbridge.

Collections will be at the Great Barrington Transfer Station located at 601 Stockbridge Road.

STOCKBRIDGE GRANGE COMMUNITY DINNER
Stockbridge, noon to 12:30 p.m.
Stockbridge Grange is holding a takeout community dinner featuring stuffed chicken breast, mashed potatoes, and vegetables with dessert choices of chocolate cream or lemon meringue pie.
 
Cost is $17 and pickup is between noon and 12:30 p.m. at the 51 Church St. hall. Orders may be made by calling 413-243-1298. Inclement weather postpones the meal for a week.
 
Grange dinners are held to raise money for non-profit projects and building maintenance.

'SECRET' LGBTQ+ HISTORY OF LEE WALKING TOUR
Lee, 12:30 - 2 p.m.

As part of Lee Pride, walk Lee's secret LGBTQ-plus history together. Researcher Joshua D. Bloom will lead this free tour, exploring stories that were often whispered, hidden, or erased. He'll be talking about law, art, religion, illness, courage, cruelty, and pride. 

The tour begins at Park Square and will take 1.5-2 hours and is less than a mile. Part of the "Jacob's Pillow in Lee, Mass." exhibit at the Lee Library through June.
